At Storyals we are always looking for new ways to enhance our storytelling capabilities and deliver high-quality and diverse content to our customers. One of the tools that we use to achieve this goal is artificial intelligence (AI).

AI is a broad term that refers to any system or software that can perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as understanding language, recognizing images, generating speech, or making decisions. AI can help us automate, optimize, and augment our creative processes, as well as provide new insights and opportunities for serving our customers better.

However, we also recognize that AI comes with certain challenges and risks, such as ethical, legal, and social implications. We value the copyrights and the creativity of our employees, and we respect the rights and expectations of our customers and partners. Therefore, we have developed this policy to guide our use of AI in a responsible and transparent way.

The following principles inform our decisions and actions when we use AI in our products and services:

  • We use AI to improve the quality, diversity, and accessibility of our content, not to compromise it.
  • We use AI to create value for our customers and partners, not to mislead or deceive them.
  • We use AI to respect and protect the intellectual property rights of ourselves and others, not to infringe or violate them.
  • We use AI to uphold the ethical and professional standards of our industry, not to undermine or violate them.

Policy Practices

The following practices help us implement our policy principles in our daily work:

  • We only use AI tools and services that are reliable, secure, and trustworthy, and that (to the best of our knowledge) comply with the relevant laws and regulations.
  • We only use AI tools and services that are compatible with our mission, vision, and values, and that align with our customers' and partners' expectations and preferences.
  • We only use AI tools and services that are respectful of human dignity, diversity, and autonomy, and that do not discriminate, exploit, or manipulate anyone.
  • We should always aim to disclose and acknowledge the use of AI in our products and services, and we provide clear and accurate information about the limitations of the AI-generated content.
  • As part of our commitment to innovation and efficiency, we regularly incorporate AI tools (such as Microsoft 365 Copilot) to enhance our daily communications, such as emails, blogs and web site articles. In these use cases, it will not be explicitly mentioned that AI has supported the outcome.

We always monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of the AI tools and services that we use, and we report and address any issues or concerns that may arise.

Policy Review

We acknowledge that AI is a dynamic and evolving field, and that our policy may need to be updated and revised as new technologies, trends, and challenges emerge. Therefore, we commit to regularly review and assess our policy and its implementation, and to solicit feedback and input from our stakeholders and experts. We will communicate any changes or updates to our policy to our employees, customers, and partners in a timely and transparent manner.
